Stunning Ski Chalet – Niederau, Kitzbuhel Alps, Austria

The Wildschönau Valley is the perfect base for those looking for a fun-filled ski holiday. With 145 km of top quality pistes and 47 ski lifts, this beautiful chalet is in a prime location of the Kitzbuhel Alps in Austria. In the area, you will find the Race ‘n’ Boarder Arena, snowboard fun park and speed track. For non-downhill skiers, there are various other activities on offer in Niederau. There are 50 km of cross country skiing tracks, 40 km of winter walking tracks, guided snow shoe walks, sleigh rides, toboggan runs and Nordic walking.

Fresh air, lush meadows and breath-taking scenery all make this a very special place in the heart of Austria. The mountain village is ideal whether you want to ski, hike, cycle, paraglide, swim, play tennis or just relax and recharge. Friendly cafes, restaurants and bars are an easy stroll, just a few minutes away from this stunning chalet. You will find a range of Tyrolean hospitality in the mountain huts and restaurants, as well as plenty of après ski and nightlife.

Transportation links to Niederau are excellent and it is an easy drive to Salzburg, Munich or Innsbruck airports. The chalet is very easy to get to, with regular flights from the UK to these airports. Transport from the airport to Niederau is not too much hassle, with regular train links available.

Beautiful Tyrolean chalet set in a fantastic position in the ever popular ski village of Niederau in the Kitzbühel Alps. Built in 2007, the property is in superb condition throughout.  This stunning chalet enjoys mountain views from the sun terrace and balcony.  It is situated just 150 m to the nearest ski lift and ideally located to enjoy the skiing in one of the Tyrol’s top 10 resorts, see www.skijuwel.com.

Location

Niederau is one of the key villages in the Wildshonau ski area.  It has its own ski area and several apres ski bars and restaurants to provide entertainment.  The other ski areas making up the Wildshonau of Auffach and Alpbach are only 15 minutes away and there is a bus service from close to Ados Haus.

The huge ski area of the Ski Welt is a 15 minute drive the other direction and access through Hopfgarten lift station opens up 180 km of connected ski area.  Soll, Brixen, Westendorf, Sheffau and Going can all be reached via Hopfgarten where there is an excellent free car park.

A day trip to Kitzbuhel or to the Zillertall valley is also worth considering as both are within easy driving distance.

What to do

There is so much to do in this area in Winter and Summer you will not have enough time in one trip to see everything. There are many traditional restaurants to visit where you can sample the best of Austrian food and after a day in the fresh air you will deserve a good meal. There is a local tourist office with friendly and knowledgeable staff that are keen to make sure you enjoy your visit to the Wildshonau. The Wilshonau ski pass covers Niederau, Oberau and Auffach / Alpbach. There are great areas for beginners and for a more extensive ski area the Auffach / Alpbach area has to be visited. Some great runs with stunning views and some excellent mountain huts to provide traditional food and refreshments. There are busses linking the ski areas with a bus stop only metres from our chalet.

The huge area of the Ski Welt is only 15 minutes away and access via Hopfgarten is the best way in. Ski-ing through to Soll or Brixen and on to Sheffau, Ellmau and Going with a wide variety of runs for all abilities makes this area perfect for exploring new territory. Lifts across to Westendorf provide another good ski area with long runs and a new restaurant at the top with a brilliant sundeck and fantastic views.

Kitzbuehel needs no introduction to the lover of winter sports. With the annual FIS ski events on the infamous Hannenkam you can guage the level of skiing available. With two mountains to ski and a fabulous Austrian town in between it is always worth a visit and not much more than a 40 minute drive from Niederau

Low season starts from 20/04/2020 to 10/7/2020 and 07/09/2020 to 24/10/2020. High season starts from 11/07/2020 until 06/09/2020.

Winter 2020

High season is 340 euros per night
High season starts from 20/12/2020 until 03/01/2021 and then again from 09/02/2021 until 02/03/2021.

Middle season is 288 euros per night
Middle season starts from 26/01/2021 to 09/02/2021.

Low season is 240 euros per night
Low season starts from 01/11/2020 until 20/12/2020 and then again from 04/01/2021 until 26/01/2021, and once more from 02/03/2021 until 06/04/2021.

Important Booking Information

The price is given in Euros per chalet per day excluding tourist tax.

The tourist tax is 2 Euros per person per night. Children up to 14 years of age are free.

Cleaning is NOT included, a 90 Euro charge is payable.

Included in your rental will be bed linen, bath & hand towels & tea towels free of charge. There is a dishwasher, washing machine & tumble dryer for your use.

On your day of arrival, Ados Haus will be ready from 4pm. Please note if the house has been vacant before your arrival, you may enter earlier, please enquire should you require early arrival before 4pm.

On your day of departure, please vacate by 10am.

We do not accept large parties of all female or all male guests.
